The Support to Entry Program (STEP) is designed to remove barriers for applicants from underrepresented backgrounds, including but not limited to people who self-identify as Black, racialized, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+, from a rural or remote community, persons with diverse abilities, or those facing financial barriers, who are interested in applying for an educational program at the Cumming School of Medicine.

If you are applying to the Master of Physician's Assistant Studies (MPAS) program at the Cumming School of Medicine through the Parallel Admissions Pathways (Equity Admissions Pathway and Indigenous Admissions Pathway) for entry to MPAS in the fall of 2025, and you are interested in participating in STEP support initiatives, please complete this form. Once you are registered in STEP - MPAS for the 2024-25 intake cycle, you will be eligible for current supports and activities. If you are registering for STEP supports available for applicants to Medicine and Health Science Studies, click here to complete the STEP-Medicine and Health Science registration form.

(Note that your application is valid for the 2024-25 cycle only; you will need to apply annually if interested in supports for future intake cycles)

Supports in 2024/25 will include an information panel on writing your MPAS Equity Admissions Pathway Essay and support for Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs).
